Dachshund - Senior - Male
Adoptable Small Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

Meet Jake… an adorable 12-lb. Dachshund mix. This little guy is 11-years-old, but you’d never know it by all his energy! Even though he at times enjoys being a couch potato, his favorite pastime is chasing squirrels and doing his best to catch them… even if it means trying to climb the tree! Because of this, a fenced yard is necessary for Jake.

Jake enjoys sleeping in his crate (although I’m sure he’d prefer to be snuggling in ‘the big bed’) and is well housetrained. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, both big and small. Like most Doxies, Jake is a good watch-dog, and will bark at new people coming to the house. He is anxious when riding in a car, but doesn’t get car-sick.

Jake is a healthy little guy! He is neutered, microchipped, current on his Dist/Parvo and Rabies vaccines, tested negative for Heartworms, and is on Heartworm prevention. He also has had a dental cleaning.

Jake’s adoption fee is $275.00.

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect ‘forever’ home!

If you are interested in Jake, and think he may be your ideal canine companion, please visit our website at foreverhomek9rescue.org for information on our adoption process. To get an application, you can cut and paste this link to our on-line application: http://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application. You may also download an application from our website, or e-mail us at foreverhomeK9rescue@yahoo.com for additional information or to request an application.

Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never ‘ship’ or ‘transport’ our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
