Lhasa Apso - Shih Tzu - Adult - Male
Adoptable Small Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

Remy is a very happy boy who thinks the best thing in life is…a tummy rub! And if someone offers Remy a tummy rub while riding in the car, well, the best thing in life just got kicked up a notch!

Found running loose and in terrible condition, Remy was taken to an animal shelter. Lucky for him that his owners failed to claim him, because he was brought into a loving foster home and is now getting all the TLC he loves and deserves!

The shelter described him as a blend of Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu, and although very underweight when he came to us, Remy is now a healthy 18 lbs. With new people or situations, he’s a little bit cautious at first, but he has a very nice personality — neither standoffish nor in-your-face. He warms up quickly and is very happy to make friends with everyone he meets.

Remy currently has a fenced yard at his foster home, and we would prefer that Remy have the benefit of a fenced yard in his forever home. He does well on a leash and enjoys walking with his foster mom at least once a day. He’s very curious and loves to investigate everything while he walks. He’s not much of a barker and enjoys an occasional game of tug-of-war…but then, it’s back to the couch, hopefully for another round of “Rub My Tummy.”

Though not house-trained when he was rescued, Remy is now very tidy about his inside manners.

His idea of the perfect home would be one where his new owner would be happy to keep at least one hand on him while assuring him, “Life is good, Remy!”

Our sincerest thanks to Laura Mullis Photography for donating Remy’s photoshoot!

Remy has been neutered and microchipped. He’s heartworm negative and is current on his Rabies, DHP/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines.

Remy’s adoption fee is $225.00.

Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never ‘ship’ or ‘transport’ our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

We offer a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect “forever” home!
